Great doubay 2007-01-08 17:03

Hello Alper,
very nice panoramic shot of the Edremit Bay with very good POV and vivid colours. The landscape with the countless olive trees looks really beautiful and the sea has got the most perfect aegean blue. (Is this Mytilini in the background?)
But this photo does not show only beauty. It tells us a sad story too: The story about the breathtaking destruction of the mediteranean (in this case turkish) coasts due to uncontrolled construction development.
Best regards
Andreas

Default To doubay: Thank you Andreas

I agree about destruction. It makes us unhappy and definitely angry. I was thinking about the same thing while looking at this photo, that the seasides are heavily occupied by ugly buildings of summer resorts, hotels, etc. We are also sad about what we leave to our children.

The land in the background is again Turkey coast I think. I found a map showing adatepe, and the direction of the photo was towards the southeast.

Best regards.
