Great lueur 2005-12-23 15:50

Your photo is a proof that beauty is able to grow in the middle of dust or desert... they all are cute!
In my opinion, they don't look like "little angels" or "little sweethearts" or whatever we say to comment a photo of kids who are that aged and who live in good condition (free access to food, school, games..). in my opinion, these boys look like "little big men", they still behave and look like children, but their eyes reveals a dark side in their soul, that our children don't know at such a young age. if our children are facing difficulties in their life, we protect them. these kids, facing difficulties, probably fight alone... because there is no choice.
the only kid whose hands are seen is the one who kept most my attention. His hands are very dirty, and he is looking at you with fierce.
i know children who have dirty hands... when it happens, it isn't for long. then, the parents come and wash the hands.
hands experiments are considered dirty, and life difficulties are considered traumatizing.
so we create sweethearts, and they create "little big men/women".
Life is so different from one place to another...
Thanks for sharing

thanks for your note (maybe the longest i've recieved). i appreciate it when a photo strikes someone and they are able to expound on it...rather than just say "nice photo" or "well done" (like i sometimes find myself doing). you're right, they are a bit like "little big men". i think the photo shows the reality here. james
