Great capthaddock 2005-10-29 13:49

Hi Marek - oh wow, I visited Warsaw in 2000, there were a few highrises but not this many, the transformation is remarkable, though it would be better to build these modern structures further away from the old centre, like Paris La Defense district, but oh well, wonderful sky excellent panorama.

Default To capthaddock: old centre

Hi Tan. From this point of view old town is located on the right from the main concentration of buildings. The real distance is some 3 km. Not that much as in Paris, but taking into account a scale of both cities it's quite similar arrangement. The main difference is that the old town in Paris is located in the city centre and modern quarter is located on outskirts, and in Warsaw it is tottaly opposite. Best regards. Marek
