Great hojper 2005-08-20 17:01

Oh Jeppe, I will have to drop by your gallery more often - if only for those wonderful titles. And in fact also because you were the reason I bought the FZ20 and I am still amazed at the things you can do with it that I haven't worked out yet. This one is of course a firework of colours that all look so real (and that is the first place where I would have a problem).

Default To hojper: Hej Per - Yes PP a must for a FZ20 owner ;-)

Well the colours actually real (and not even saturated) - But becaurse of this, the sky turned out totally white - a fact which I tried to hide with some Post Processing - not a big succes.

I normally shots a lots of photos - even of the same motif, but with a little different angles and zoom. And yes - I must admit - its often necessary to help a photo with some "normal" PP.

First rule is to check for tilt - some times you even have to adjust a photo which actually fully in level - but due to some trick of the eye it dosn't seems to be.

I usually clone away "half objects" such as birds near the edge - but not always.

For instance do I press +G and +B (Paint shop Pro 7) to adjust the gammalevels and bright/contrast in small steps - also colour saturation (normal) and perhaps colour temperature what I use.

An other trick is the use neatimage, before resize down to 800x600 pixel for posting - this gives the best result.

Finally is a slight unsharp mask a must after resizing (and if its a person I sometimes gives the eyes only a special sharpning).

Good to see you back - too bad I'm going to be busy elsewhere in the the next month.

Thank you Jeppe, for a very useful little extra crash course. We learn a lot areound here and a lot of things stay, but we can always learn more. There are one or two things in your "PP course for FZ20 owners" that I will definitely try out asap.
Nu ved jeg hvorfor du og Norbert er de bedste - I tager altid tid til at give gode raad, som virkelig er gode.
