I'm guessing that it was a fairly misty day ... at that exposure and shutterspeed, you would have to have some moisture in the air to get this soft edged look. Was it intentional? Otherwise a higher ASA film and a higher shutterspeed would help sharpen the effects...however I love the dream like quality to the picture.

Personally I'd have put the sun in the middle of the frame, but that's just me..I'm a symmetrist!

That's right, Siddharthsingh, I was descending through cloud, which is why you can see moments of sunlight. Also, I was using a digital camera.
