This is veyr odd. No critiques and 45 views. I love these two. Do you mind telling me why the light is green?

To PJE: Green light
Light is green for a couple reasons (I guess) - the owls are part of an indoor exhibit at the aviary so the light was unnatural to start in all the bird enclosures, also the entire enclosure was a muted green colour (not sure why). Some of the enclosures had what seemed like ultraviolet lights (to accentuate feather colours perhaps) while others enclosures had simple flourescent light.
Wish I could provide a more technical reason!.

Well I guess the Bird keepers know best . I think its because the owls are nocturnal that they need a special light so they are fooled into thinking that its night all the time. Who knows..perhaps look it up on google.ca
