Great broglia 2007-11-26 10:36

Hi Marielle, wonderfully peaceful scene with all that beautifully still water. Just a couple of suggestions, firstly try and avoid having the horizon running across the middle of the shot (a balance of one third water and two thirds sky would be good). And also watch out for any slight tilt, although this can easily be corrected later.

Keep up the good work, Roberto

Default To broglia: or vice versa

This pic could be cropped from the bottom OR the top IMHO and it would improve the composition, depending on the photographer's preference (less sky or less water?) But even the way it is it looks pretty good, it almost gets away with breaking the rules, and in the end this is the final criterion: how much time will people spend looking at it? In other words, how arresting, how attention-getting is it? On those criteria this pic really is pretty good, and the improvement by cropping would be marginal, IMHO.
