Hello Sourav

I like this candid portrait: as your note implies, the subject could I'm sure, tell a lot of stories. But you really needed to be closer. I don't know if you asked her permission or just shot from the hip; in any case you either needed to zoom in (I don't know what lens you had, but I note that you shot at 35mm, which is quite wide for a portrait), or stepped closer. Street photography is about having the nerve to get in amongst it! But there's an alternative: get closer at the editing stage! In my WS (which I hope you won't mind), rather than cropping, I've selected the whole image, and then dragged the corner anchor points well outside the frame. This has also removed one of those ugly posts (the other had to stay). I also took the opportunity of cloning away the intrusive wire above her head. I'm aware that street photography is a "warts and all" genre of documentary, but the most effective shots still benefit from a concern for and awareness of all the details across the chosen frame. Sorry: I've got back into teacher-mode again! Hope you don't mind the attentions of an old photography lecturer...

Regards

Will

Default To willperrett: Thank you

Dear Will

Thank you very much for your kind words. I feel inspired. Yes you are rightly pointed out, it should be with closer frame. Yes I've taken few more shots with different angles and zoom. I've chosen this to share with you all to narrate the ambience at same time with the portrait. However I do wish to share other photos sometime later.

Thank you once again for your note. Please keep putting such notes.

regards
sourav
