Great PaulVDV 2014-06-19 12:04

Hello Mesut,
A well composed and very attractive presentation of Aphrodisias.
I like the beautiful natural colours, the good depth and the nice setting of these ruins.
Aphrodisias certainly looks like an archeological site that I would like to visit one day.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: Aphrodisias

Hello dear Paul
Many thanks for your critics to my "Aphrodisian Beauties".
I met this wonderfull antique city first time in 1974 and visiting it since than at least two times a year.
And I am the member of the board of Geyre Foundation which is supporting the excavations there since 1986. I would be more than glad to guide your there wheneever you plan a visit to Turkey.
With my warm regards

Dear Mesut,

Wow! That is of course a fantastic offer.
Being guided through Aphrodisias by an expert like you.
Thank you very much.

But it may still take quite a while before I get to Turkey

I have the impression that this archaeological site is not so crowded by foreign visitors as other sites that are closer to the Aegean or the Mediterranean Sea. Maybe I'm wrong.

Best regards from Belgium,
