Great UlfE 2014-01-02 0:02

Hi Ike,

An excellent follow up of your previous post The very calm water of the Yarkon river made it possible for you to take a photo brillant reflection photo. The photo is also very well-composed and the colours are very attractive and look very natural. I study your photo with great interest and I note that even if this colony of cormorants return to the same spot every year there is no visible damage from the birds' droppings on the vegetation. In Sweden it is not uncommon that cormorants are nesting in small islets in lakes and along the coast and after some years they leave for another islet because the nest trees and the vegetation on ground are severly damagaged by their droppings. I guess this might be the case also along Yarkon river, but maybe it has not yet happened. TFS this unusal and interesting photo and have a nice day!

Kind regards,

Thumbs up To UlfE: about cormorants

Yes Ulf, what you just described is starting to be shown.
But, this is part of nature and life.
