Great SnapRJW 2013-11-21 8:59

Hello Bev - I love the Boscastle and Crackington Haven area of Cornwall, it's wild and lovely with the villages nestled down in the valleys. Not so nice in the floods though, do you remember a few years back when the rivers burst their banks at Boscastle and the narrow valley channeled the water down into the village? I like both shots here, this one with the fringe of greenery in the Fg and infinite drifts of clouds is gorgeous. The WS appeals because I can just make out some of the folded rock layers for which the area is renowned. Happy memories, TFS! Warm regards Rosemary

Thumbs up To SnapRJW: Boscastle

Hi Rosemary,

Thank you for your critique.

I do remember the floods at Boscastle. I was surprised at how long ago it had happened! 2004!
The pretty little village has completely recovered. The little café, which had been washed away, has been restored and has photographs of the devastation in its picture gallery.

Kind regards,
