Default Is Micro USM of canon lenses is worth buying?

Is Micro USM of canon lenses is worth buying??? Actually I have planned to buy a 75-300telephoto which is within my budget . Found some of canon lenses with micro USM are cheaper a lot than 'Ring Type USM'... Think a lot... Then had searched the net for some more... Found the 'micro USM' is not as good as 'Ring Type USM', which is very much predictable considering the price range... My question is for those, who are experienced in this USM Lenses. Is it will helpful to me in long distance shoot? Is the Manual focusing mode can be accessible in these Micro USM lenses after a touch of auto focus?
Friends, Please write after reading it as quick as possible... My buying process needs your precious opinions... If the micro USM is bad, please suggest one which is low in price...
Best Regards
