Great EstudioChispa 2013-04-01 8:47

Hello Martin...

VERY nicely done foto -- I was just having this conversation with williewhistler. I have always been interested in shooting fotos with mixed light sources. "In the old days," exposing correctly for film was very tricky, and we had to resort to bracketing if we wanted a decent chance at a successful shot.

Digital technology has made that task somewhat easier (especially being able to know instantly whether you have captured the image), but it remains a challenge. The first step is for the photographer to recognize when the light sources are more-or-less balanced, with no one dominant source. Perhaps this can be learned, but it is more likely an innate sense.

It is obvious from this foto that you have that innate talent!

Thank you, Russ ... however, as you know the success or failure of a photo often depends to some degree on a little bit of luck and timing.

Well, we all need a little bit of luck every day, but getting yourself into position at close to the right time counts for 99%!
