Great batalay 2012-05-10 18:09

Hello Bev,

A very beautifully composed shot with an unusual spire. I don't know this part of Germany at all. Is Ulm anywhere close to Mosel by any chance?

Also, I see that this shot with your Nikon D200, the camera I still use. I wonder how a D300 shot of the same scene would have differed.

Warm regards,

Many thanks, Bulent, for your thoughts on my photograph.
No, Ulm is a long way from the Mosel Region. We picked up the boat at Andernach, on the Rhine and then turned down the Mosel at Koblenz. (WE were supposed to be sailing the Rhine to Switzerland but the water levels were critically low so changed to the Mosel, which is protected by locks. Instead, we sailed to Luxembourg.)

I used the D200 because, at that time, it as my main camera. I sold it when my husband bought me a D300. Certainly the D300 performs much better in low light.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
