your comments are right-on... I have dozens of straight shots of the terracotta that day, but I hung around inside the guonset hut covering the excavation until it was almost entirely dark (no overhead lights at that time), then the last ray of sunlight came through the door as I was leaving and I braced the camera against the railing, set the self-timer and this is what I got... it gave me the feeling of "un-dead" 3000 year old soldiers, disinterred and anquished about the return to living world... a little strange but provocative nonetheless.
