Re: B + W 52mm Circular Polarizer Multi Coated Glass Filter

Ah, in that case; The B&W is an excellent filter that, in my opinion, is unparalleled. I have used a few different ones in the past including Kenko and others. Their coating is quite frustrating...

Re: Photography software suggestions

ACDSee is pretty cheap and works quite well. And I have also heard good things about GIMP.

Re: B + W 52mm Circular Polarizer Multi Coated Glass Filter

Re: Nikon D80 built-in flash

Hi Paul,
That might be a problem if I were shooting in automatic mode, but I am using completely manual mode. I think it is just not possible. But thanks for your advice. It is always...

Nikon D80 built-in flash

I have been looking over my owner's manual, searching the internet and various other means of looking for an answer. So, completely humbled, I am now asking anyone here who might know. Is it...

Re: Nikon P5100, Canon Powershot G9 or Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens?

Hi Olivier,
Thanks for your input. Of the two, I also like the RAW capabilities of the G9. It also has a longer focal length that might benefit certain situations. The G9 is definately bigger,...

Nikon P5100, Canon Powershot G9 or Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens?

OK, the background. My fiance and I bought our house about ten months ago now. We have been taking care of things like air conditioners and furniture and, thus, have had no spare money for a long...

Re: Lomography - your oppinion!

I wouldn't go that far, but I suppose it could be interesting once or twice. I actually do follow some of their rules. My camera is with me always, I use it any time and sometimes I intentionally...

Re: What's with the front page?

Have to disagree with some of the views here. It would make sense to occassionaly let those photos occupy the front page, but it happens all the time. Also, you seem to forget the other half of...

What's with the front page?

It's either that damn rabbit or images from people who aren't even active anymore. For example, this http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/China/photo77848.htm was on the front page today. This is...

Re: Wide angle lens

Hi Sindre,
I bought the Sigma 10-20 mm lens for my D80 and absolutely love it. It is about half the price of a comparable Nikon or Canon lens and I defy anyone to show the diffrence in printed...

Re: Please remove Middle East Region!!

I don't think it matters if you are a member for a day or a decade, this is an open forum and an open site. Unfortunately, many folks around the globe think that if you spend enough time in one...

Re: To paulalex32: ladysmith at night

Hi John,
I have the exact same camera and I absolutely love it. Do you have the remote control for it? If not, I highly recomend it as it allows for hands-free handling of such images. Also,...

Hi Aleksander,
Well, I am sorry but my Polish is even worse than your English ;-)
My mother is Polish but, unfortunately, never learned the language. So, I am not certain why you are asking...

Hi Travis,
Actually, I am not so much faithful as I am lazy. I do most of my traveling around the island. The times I did go to Thailand and Hong Kong (Three times for HK), I ended up bogged...

Re: REALLY?

Hi Didi,
Yeah I saw that. That's why I asked about it. It seems silly to leave them on the site when nobody can use them anymore. Sounded like it could be fun. Cheers, Paul.
