Indeed, that's a good comparison.
Later I also went to Luang Prabang and Kuang Si.
Kuang Si is quite similar to Erawan. Only the highest waterfalls of Kuang Si are higher.

That bird lives in Southeast Asia (and in India).
I didn't know the bird and thought it looked like a toucan....
