Basically, there are trucks like this all over Tokyo near the embassies. The guy on top is there to look out for any bad guys. If he sees something suspicious, he signal the driver and the driver...

Capturing this picture

I'll be honest, it was just hit and miss. I used a shutter release cable and set the camera to bulb mode. I started to shoot away. That's why it took so many rolls to capture the shot!

The higher the f-stop number the greater the depth of field (also called "opening up the lens").

If you want to focus on an area and blur out the background you'll want to use a smaller f-stop....

No Tripod used

Ron,

Unfortunately, I didn't have my tripod with me at this time. I was leaning against an old desk when taking this. I agree that it could of been better with one. Maybe I'll have time to go...

I think I shot this at an exposure of 2 seconds at f11. A steady tripod and a lot of film helps too! :)
