To Isabelle: about the feet

I would have liked to have all of his feet in the frame, but well, very spontaneous street-shooting and such, you can't have it all.
I did not want to crop, the fact that both of them are on...

Re: How do you select and qualify a shot to post here on TE.

I guess my main deciding factor when deciding whether to post or not, is the visual balance and tension in the photo more than the story.
Of course I want a good story too, it must be in there some...

To Isabelle: A great critique, thank you!

Those were some interesting thoughts on my humble photo. Although I have looked a lot on those photos from time to time, you have drawn my attention too some interesting likenesses, that I didn't see...

To Tracker: north of copenhagen rail link

Thank you for your comments.

You'll need to change trains to get to the north coast. The gauge is the same for all lines, 1435 mm, but the lines north of Hillerød are run by independent operators...

To Isabelle: desaturation

Yes, I did desaturate it a bit to take a little bit of the "sweetness" of the scene, but it is not partial it is the same level of desaturation across the whole image. I added some extra contrast...

Re: To torben: Triangles

I have nothing against hard contrast per se, but I don't like the way the shadows seems to strangle the girl in the background, just look at the two big blotches of black, looking like ink-aliens,...

To tcht: good luck...

with your race, it's a very graceful sport.
You are correct, that the image would get better with mote swirling waterdrops to suggest motion. On the other hand, I like the way he looks at the camera...
