I am an Indian living in UAE presently..but am moving back to India in 3 weeks from now. Yupe, Brazil is so famous with its beaches, soccer and samba..! Yea, I understand economy is doing very good...

I like to use ISO 100, Sree. Only once did i try this 200 and thats how that -creekside in its glory- titled photos all look overexposed. to avoid grains, its best to use ISO 100, i feel.

How does a fixed focal length lens work?

I read that even fixed focal length lens have auto-focus. I just wonder how does it work? Doesnt the lens moving in and out would mean that its not the same focal length?

Or do I have to walk...

Yea, like I mentioned I am quite new in here. and earlier I used a Fuji S6500 digital camera.

Yea, I meant the time for the auto-focus. I guess it will make a very bad lens for any action-shot.

Anyhow, being the first DSLR, i guess its fine for now like you say.

Thank you, Adrian..Yea, it makes sense to have that lens at $90. I just exchanged the box with, one with the lens! Well, fortunately, I had not yet used it and I should say the shop-keeper was nice....
