To PaulVDV: Staying on La Graciosa
 

Hi Paul,
I think it is possible to stay on the island. There is just this little town which you can spot in the photo. They have plenty of restaurants and I believe some little hotels as well.
I think it would be great idea. There are amazing hiking options and stunning beaches there. Of course it would be awkward to stay on La Graciosa without first seeing Lanzarote itself. It is a bit like going for a trip to New Zealand without seeing Australia before.

I understand your point of view regarding seeing Lanzarote first and then La Graciosa.


But you make a strange comparison with Australia and New Zealand.
I've never been in that part of the world but I met several Europeans who had visited NZ and not AU.
I think that these countries are very different in terms of nature and climate, so that it is quite possible that people are attracted to one of both and not or less to the other.
