GND Filters.... advice please

Hello There

I am researching GND filters V. the PP option. Landscapers, what are your thoughts on the two methods? If you use GND filters what make do you use and which "stop" values do you find most useful. Do you use the screw in or square type? Thanks for your input!

Circular GND filters are of very limited use as the graduation will always be in the same position across the lens. Square (actually rectangular for GND) can be moved up or down to get the precise position required.
I have .3, .6 & .9 and .6 is the one I use most frequently.

Thanks Keith ...

Hi Keith, Thanks for your response, I had come to the conclusion that the square type would be the best option. What make do you use and do you have any idea if I can order over the net? I cannot purchase a set in Namibia and my SA supplier does not keep them.

Enjoy the weekend and thanks again. Rosemary

I use Hitech as they are priced similar to Cokin but don't have any colour cast to them. I live in the UK and purchase from Hitech suppliers in the UK.

Juliette
