    Hello Mariusz,

I think b&w is always a good choice when there is only a sprinkling of snow, it seems to define the subtlety of the hues much better.
Your photograph is very well composed so that we take a natural entrance, enjoy the peace and tranquility and slowly work our way around the trees and the water.
There is a tiny figure, across the water, who has greater impact than his size would suggest.

    My arm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Chris,

I think you have chosen the best viewpoint, for you have been able to frame the illuminated tent shape with this equally well illuminated archway. They show up learly and brightly against the darkening sky.

    Hello Malgo,

You have included some interesting notes along with your trio of photographs.
I agree with your choice of a main one.
I can see that most ladies are dressed as you describe, but it all seems very relaxed.

The building is fascinating, obviously new but seem to have an older style.
It is very attractive, in my eyes.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Ian,

This building, now derelict, looks as if it is waiting for a new owner, or more customers, with the lloyd loom chair patiently positioned on the verandah.
You have composed the photograph very well, paying attention to building, from the shop entrance along the verandah.
The lettering matches the rusting as a nicely colour co-ordinated feature.

The post office looks in good repair and must be quite well used.
I was attracted by the wrought iron pillars which support the verandah. They look very Victorian.

    Have a lovely day,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Craig,

I like all your photographs as each shows something a little different about the building but, like you, this is my preferred favourite.
I know immediately why I liked it so much, the green, glass dome in the f/g (perfectly placed) looks like an enormous jewel. In that way, it is suggesting that the building resembles a large jewel and, it does! It is quite stunning, as it its pristine towers point skywards, with a sky that makes the perfect backcloth.
    What a stunning building!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Lars,

Three spectacular photographs of the erupting geyser!
The clouds may not be perfect but in some ways are useful for the geyser and clouds combine to create an even greater effect.
I think the last of three define the geyser most clearly but I have enjoyed perusing all of them.
The inclusion of the trees immediately emphasises the height of this boiling spout!
Amazing! Must have been so exciting to observe!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Bonjour Nicolas,

I can see why you were attracted to this dead tree branch, with the small twigs extended and its arched shape, it resembles an animal, wracked with pain, its head thrown back and legs stiffened.
    Very well observed and composed.
There are are strong contrasts both in materials and colours.

    Witaj Krzysztof,

Your photograph immediately shows excellent clarity of this important administrative building and its surroundings.

Your composition uses natural guide lines, culminating in the huge doorway.
You were obviously an important visitor, for the barrier has been raised for you!

    Hello Miguel,

This photograph shows us so much about the buildings' style and materials as well as the beauty of the location.
You have chose to use the f/g buildings very effectively in your composition and created a vast sense of depth.

    Merhaba Mesut,

This young man obviously enjoys a challenge, as well as finding a book, for this is probably one of the thickest, heaviest books to choose.
This sort of unprepared shot often works really well, it is captured just on instinct!
    Well seen!

    Hello Jorge,

The combination of golden spirals and illuminated lanterns makes an eye-catching picture.

    Hi Gert
what in the world is that man holding in his hand...do you know what it looks like??? It looks like an oversized Hockey Stick! hahahaha....obviously its for a quick clean up, but it just looks so strange. even almost more amusing is the man with his back turned to us, he's just standing there doing his best Statue imitation. Nice is certainly one of those cities that's on my to see list. Good for you to take french lessons before your arrival, that's dedication and more than I would have done! cheers

    Hi Kasia
the two boys are stealing the show here haha
they are very interested into what's going on, and so would I, as a boy and even now as a man i love construction sites and these large mechanical devices. Sort of like how most woman love horses - but of course that's one that I just don't understand haha. Hey...did you watch the first 11 minutes of that Movie? If not, not a big deal, just wondering. great shots, love the WS with the women uncovering their faces! cheers

    Hi Malgo
that is one of the most strangest buildings I've seen, I wonder what it is and how old it is. Great to here that the country has opened up its borders for tourists. You are a brave woman Malgo, I am so impressed by you :) Not knowing what to expect it could be very difficult to travel here, but you just go ahead and do it! amazing! So proud of you! great shots.

    Hi Gerrit
I'd like to know more about your experiences here...do you stop and visit the people in the village or just take your photos and off you go? Do you explore the village? How do the people treat you? More so, how do the adults treat you? such a great shot of the children you obviously are happy to see you. Harsh living conditions for sure. cheers

the old general store is a great photo and post as well.
