Abmdsudi, how fortunate that you were in this spot at this moment, and that you had the imagination to capture this particular image. I just love the two boats, with the "masts", against the sky. Even beyond the rainbow, the colors are really beautiful.

I'm sure you've seen this, but if not, the story of how Ansel Adams came to take the image "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico" is the best story I've heard about recognizing that you were in the right place at the right time. You can find it on the web.

Angel, the geometry of the shot is what struck me at first - both the slopes on the left and right converging to the church tower at the bottom. Bold, well-saturated colors. The town itself looks like a lovely place (or at least a place that has lovely views!)

Craig, nice shot giving us a good feel for what Valletta looks like. There seem to have been a lot of people on the other side of the bay. Well-composed, with the dome on the left, in its contrasting colors, balancing the boat on the right. Thanks.

Lisa, this is a beautiful photo, with consistent orange tones throughout. I've seen many photos of Uluru before, of course, but I love the way you've balanced the main object of the photo with the tree in the foreground. Wonderful clouds against a deep red clay earth. How much processing did you have to do on this image?

John, you chose a wonderful location for this shot (and apparently had one of those rare glorious weather days in Scotland). The placement of the car in the frame, with the road going off into the distance between the hills, is quite striking.

The workshop photo does indeed have more "pop". I'm curious, though - when you say the levels were "all over the place", what exactly do you mean? Do you mean that you didn't use the full range of light in the original post, or something more complicated? Thanks.

Abmdsudi, very interesting note. How did you come to know the history of this place? The scene itself is nicely done, with a slightly downward camera angle, and the man in the middle field. Not a very good chapter in my nation's history. Thanks.

Interesting shot here; I love the four equally-spaced people waiting for the train (which clearly is not the express currently going through the station).

Adrian, we were just in this region (we stayed in Beynac) in September, but did not see this chateau. Seeing your photo, I'm sorry we missed it. Burak, I was *just* there, but I didn't have the vision you have, to see this great shot. Lots of nice elements here leading the eye from front to back, not only the back of the carrier, but the small sailboat below it and the large apartment/hotel on the far shore. Great sharpness.

Craig, I really love this photo. The vertical POV is really interesting, and it's really the only way to get a view of all of the vegetables on offer. The colors are great, particularly the orange-brown sand and the woman's pink scarf. Great clarity and nice framing. Again, I really like this shot. Thanks.

Ourania, what an unusual photo, with the brownish sky and water against the brown hills. The rainbow really is the only touch of color in the photo. I'm curious as to how much post-processing you did on this shot. The rocks in the foreground lend another point of interest and provide some scale. Very nice shot. Thanks.

Eleu, very nice. I'm glad you posted an explanation, or I would have thought you just photoshopped it. I like how the maker placed the lettering upside down as well to complete the illusion. Beautiful colors in the scenery as well, with good clarity. Thanks.
