Hehe, this is funny after reading your note. These signs are plastered all over my apartment complex. :) I assume it is because of the asbestos. One place is on my ceiling. Apparently popcorn ceilings from buildings in the seventies and earlier are almost assured to be made from asbestos.

Modern parking garages also apparently use asbestos even today for insulation.

The rainbow of colors and bold signs really capture the essence of a carnival perfectly. The shadows are spooky! What are they actually? How can they be? To me it looks like the devil himself telling a little boy something, but what? Instructions to do something? A warning?

Its been a long time since I saw something on TE that made me want to log and and comment. This is just great; the subject, the composition and the overall feel are just perfect for my taste.

My only comment is that it appears to be slightly oversharp. Perhaps I've just been looking at toycamera gomi for so long? Sugoi!

Unmistakably brilliant. The wet pavement, the bus, the underground sign, the man in the hat all compliment the main subjects.

Everything from the crosswalk, the wires, the Yamazaki Bread sign, to the aparto really makes this a good photograph. Great location!

Scanning from the negative, or cleaning up the scan from this print would make it even better (it has a few grubby spots). Very good!

A classic LC-A photograph. Great subject, well framed. A little more contrast perhaps to boost that LC-A feel?

Wow. Another great subject very well observed. Though a classic, your presentation is good, and the day has added a nice gothic feel to the work.

I cannot help to imagine though, what this would look like on film. A photograph taken with an old film camera would really lift this scene.

Timeless work. Even the modern scooters do not detract. The frame does a little though.

Some minor clones on the white spots, and a bit more black would really lift it.

This is certainly worth the rescanning effort. The subject is well positioned, and the sky looks like it has great potential.

I do not know however if the high contrast would work better than popping some of the grays in the sky.

With the rescan too it would be nice to see some of the Tri-X grain coming through as well? Heck, all these options! I love film, and I love this photograph.

Strange feel to this. I love it. Some more blur through the windows perhaps might increase the impact, but otherwise well spotted and presented. Love those colors.

I think this technique would work really well with a better subject. The feel, tint, and tones are really nice. But, the subject is a little flat. Still, this is nice though.
