The power of the aquatic explosion to the left is well caputred, and a bit unusual for a panorama, as the photographer is often not so keen on including movement that might make it harder to stitch. Did you try some sharpening? It seems a bit fuzzy, and I'm not too keen on the grey top/ blue bottom border, but otherwise an enjoyable image.

Nicely seen. I was drawn to the image by the shape of the cloud; in the thumbnail it looks like a mushroom. I had wondered at first if the French were letting off more nuclear tests in the South Pacific. This possibility makes increases the power and meaning of the image for me as I come from the South Pacific.

Wow, what a scene. A lot of jpg compression artifact, especially evident over the ridges. Perhaps re-post after removing this, and you will have a simply stunning image.

That's a great pic Dan. Could you tell us more about "2ND". A neutral density filter I assume. I've heard of these being used before, for example, to increase exposure time when shooting running water, as I gather without it the scene is readily over-exposed. Do you normal use such a filter when shooting in good weather? How does it differ in function from a skylight/ polarizer? Is it something we all should add to our kit. Do tell ;-)

This is a great shot; love the texture in the fields and the moody sky. The composition says "expanse". And the partial rooftop is a real focal point: it forces you to ask "What else hides beyond the horizon?"

Great composition - the foreground on the right really balances the bridge, and the backlighting from the sun gives punch to the foreground. I like the use of sepia; I suspect it wouldn't work as well as an "ordinary" colour pano?

Yes, worth the effort Nina. Still one of my favourite TE shots. Normally I don't go in for borders but I think yours works well - although the top and left side seem 1 pixel thinner than the right and bottom. Was this deliberate? I like the tilt; it's part of what makes this dreamy image work for me.

Well done Jim. I like this a lot; just got off a plane a few days ago where I tried the same thing in New York, looking up at the Woolworth Building through similar branches. A deleted my shot, so I'm pleased I can enjoy yours instead. The only technical point that strikes me is the lack of foreground depth-of-field, but this doesn't detract from your success. I enjoyed your reflective note too.

Are you sure this isn't a Photoshop montage? The lighting, shadows and edges appear inconsistent.
