Thanh: This photo tells a lot. I felt like watching a motion picture rather than a still one. I stayed very long in front of it, trying to understand why some human beings on the earth have to suffer, during war and through the peace... Thank you for a good photographic coverage. As ever. JG

Thanh: Glad to see you back here after that long. How is your health now? Regarding this photo, what I like most is the way you captured the police's eye. Perhaps he was monitoring someone, isn't he? This kind of face we can only see in Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam and China these days. You've got him. Congratulations! GJ

Of course this is NOT the big picture with full action like other ones that you posted earlier, but to myself, this is the best. Maybe the age of the dancer, the angle where you shot from, the little late afternoon hours: all of these factors created a combined success. Congratulations!

Hi Thahn: More than two years ago, I have left the following comments on a picture you took of Indian People who were in the category of... FIRST CAME, LAST SERVED. For your today photo, I just repeat what I told you: Thanh: I was secretly monitoring your attempts to explore Kickapoo people. Guess what? I am one of the one who felt sad after the event at Wounded Knee some decades ago: I am Indian. With the above disclosure, I sincerely thank you for this posting. George

Thanh: You have collected good quoted articles. However, I am not sure about “higher class of society” in a socialist country like Vietnam. I remember when analyzed “Classes and Class Struggle”, Mao had said: “Our enemies are all those in league with imperialism - the warlords, the bureaucrats, the comprador class, the big Landlord class and the reactionary section of the intelligentsia attached to them. The leading force in our revolution is the industrial proletariat. Our closest friends are the entire semi-proletariat and petty bourgeoisie. As for the vacillating middle bourgeoisie, their right wing may become our enemy and their left wing may become our friend - but we must be constantly on our guard and not let them create confusion within our ranks.” and “A revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery; it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another.” (Mao Tse Tung) So, where are we now? I hope someone would give us the answer. Regards,
