Children gathered waiting for a bus to get to school. Unfortunately female still treats differently.

I tried to give the original photo more impact by cropping tighter to the faces of the girls. Because I was working with a small file to start off with, the result is even smaller, but if you tried this with the original the result would be larger. I also played with the curves and saturation to give more contrast, but tone the colour down a bit to not distract from the main subject, the faces.

Same technique, left coloured.

I really think this is a strong picture. I added about +20 contrast, converted to black/white, sharpened and added a border to see how it would look.
