The Registan is one of those places that gets photographed so often it's hard to find a new angle on it. But I worked on it - I got up before sunrise (7:00 AM) to get this shot. (Late afternoon is also good, as I'll post another day.)
Technical: Raise Exposure in Camera RAW; in CS3, raise Brightness. (I keep forgetting that on TE, photos look darker than they do in Photoshop, at least on my monitor - even though I just recalibrated it.)
I debated brushing out the sun reflection on the dome, but decided to leave it; it is part of the real scene and almost impossible to avoid no matter what the time of day. I did shoot this scene several times, checking the histogram and highlights until I got an exposure that didn't create any blowout.
