For this image, I simply selected the BLUE CHANNEL, went to LEVELS in Photoshop, and darkened the middle tones by sliding the middle slider to the right only a very tiny bit. This sometimes minimizes the blue haze effect of distant light, especially if you are lacking a polarizer.
