It seems that I still exposing architectural monuments of religious-Catholic. But I find it difficult to resist, passing through places in my journey to work, stop and avoid capture images like this.
Yesterday I arrived at the town of Palmira, in the Department of Valle, 28 km from the city of Cali. An important economically for this town and area which I have visited many times, but never had the chance so far to photograph the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary del Palmar.
Religious decrees Architectural Heritage at 1,995, was built at 1,914.
Its design is due to the German engineer Joseph Vinne and construction is the master Leoncio Lorsa.
The first nucleus of the parish town of Palmyra was created in 1,722, under the name of Our Lady of the Rosary del Palmar, whose canvas was found in the finances of the priest Juan Barona, on the site known as Malagana.
Two years after, the bishop of the Diocese of Popayan, Juan Gomez de Frias, granted license to Don Gaspar de Oviedo to expose the Lord Sacrament on a permanent basis, giving the chapel of the church category.
An earthquake destroyed much of the building at 1,776. The new temple was built on a plot donated by Captain Salazar Rengifo.

I think that overall, the original is quite well, but I sense a little inclination to the left. What I did:
• Rotation 2.1 deg clockwise
• Perspective correction, pushing the lower left corner to the right. Maybe I overdid it, because now I feel that it looks slightly inclined to the right
• Crop to get rid off the blank areas produced by the previous actions |
