I know this is way out of season but after too many moody bad weather shots I needed to post something a little more uplifting so I searched my photos for something a bit lighter and found this shot.
This was taken at the end of last autumn and is a shot taken from a lookout close to the Tokorangi Marae (Maori village) and overlooks the Rangitikei River valley.
Judging by the shadows you would think this was taken early or late in the day but this was taken around midday, such is the light a month short of the winter solstice.
