On approaching Bozcaada it is the magnificant castle which first strikes my eyes.. altough thre is no knowledge of when it was first constructed, it's known to have been used by the Venetians, Genoans and Byzantines. Bozcaada castle took on its current appearance during the Fatih Sultan Mehmet era, at which time it underwent constitutive repairwork and expansion following its repossession from the Venetians. Inscriptions found on the castle indicate the most significant phase of repairs took place under Sultan Mahmut II in 1815, with the most recent restorations made in 1996 after which the castle was given special protection status...

The castle interior houses an exhibition area where archeological items and amphoras found in Bozcaada are displayed. There are two small museum inside it. This capture is from one of them..

You may see more about the castle in WSs.
