Ávila de los Caballeros es un título honorífico de la ciudad. Otro, es «Ávila del Rey», y aún otro «Ávila de los leales», todas están presentes en la bandera de la ciudad.
La ciudad se caracteriza especialmente por tener una muralla medieval completa, románica.
También es una de las ciudades con mayor número de iglesias (románicas y góticas) y de establecimientos hosteleros en relación al número de sus habitantes.

Avila is a Spanish city in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y Leon, capital of the homonymous province.
Avila de los Caballeros is an honorary title of the city. Another is "Avila del Rey," and yet another "Avila of loyal", all are present in the flag of the city.
The city is characterized especially by having a complete medieval wall, Romanesque.
It is also one of the cities with the largest number of churches (Romanesque and Gothic) establishments and restaurants in relation to the number of its inhabitants.
