I went for a hike through the Lavaux vineyards that spread above the north shore of Lake Geneva between Lausanne and Vevey. Roads reserved for pedestrians allow one to cross the whole area while enjoying great views on the vines and the lake. I liked the way the red roofs of the Clos des Abbayes contrasted against the blue water with the green vines in the foreground.

The Lavaux area is Unesco World Heritage since 2007.
