Peter and I began our day by venturing into unchaRTERED TERRITORY FOR ME, EVEN THOUGH i HAD venturedto a small region behind these hills you see in this image. As we eventually found our way around the hillsides we began a journey through time as we meandered along the creekbed between two massive hillsides and discovered that there were petrified trees breaking apart in the bank erosion areas, and that there was amber lying in piles where the trees once stood. Ine the workshop I will post an image of the hillsides, the dark yellow spots are the positions of the trees thAt once climbed to life before they were unindated with a massive ash deposit sometime either during the Eocene or Miocene Epochs.

This is the avenue through the Eocene or Miocene that we had discovered. A fascinating journey into Oregon's very beginnings.
