 Boy on a boat (10) charlotte_iona
(624) | I'm noticing that a lot of my favourite photos seem to be taken on or around water!
Kanyakumari, also spelt Kanniyakumari and also sometimes called Cape Comorin, is a fairly small fishing town situated at the tip of the Indian subcontinent. It's known primarily for its location, and a handful of sights including a giant statue, a Ghandi memorial and a museum dedicated to the "Wandering Monk", but most of the town's charm - certainly for the photographer - is in simply wandering the narrow laneways. Meandering through the small, compact area between tri-seas meet and the cathedral takes you past powder-blue houses, fishermen mending nets, silvery fish laid out to sun-dry, kids playing on rafts... just general laid-back South Indian daily life. |

I cropped a little lower, and cut a part of the sky, to accentuate the boy's vision and enhance his domination over the sea. I wanted he seems to be taller.
Then, I've added contrast to make the amazing colors of the hull more brilliant.
I've added a little more sharpness to bring out the texture of the wood.
And I've tried another framing. I've chosen a white one to not enclose the scene, and enlarge the view.
Hope you like my version.
