The Matterhorn; a bird eye's view (34)

The Swiss Alps seen from up above. I'm saying 'bird eye's view', but I think there are not that many birds going this high - only the ones made of steel and aluminium.

I first thought this was the Eiger, but Bibi helped me with a wonderful workhop! There you will find all the names and it's actually the Matterhorn!!

And this is actually my only photograph I have ever taken of Switzerland!!
I've been there before, but that was a long time ago and way before the digital era of photography. And the focus at that point was on skiing and not photography.

This photograph is taken from a plane going to Uganda. Most planes heading for Africa actually pass the Alps over Switzerland. In that sense, I've been above Swiss already more often than I've been on the ground over there!
But you have to be lucky with the weather to get this view.

NB: They don't speak Dutch is Switzerland...

It took me some time, but I finally managed to figure out that you were flying above the Walliser Alps (nearly above Zermatt).
