I am not sure what the name of the area is called where this was shot. I took it during a tour through what they call the Golden Trinagle. Iceland is such a beautiful country. The nature is amazing. I know my photos are far from some other Iceland shoots you can see here on TE but i am just having a ball going through my long lost photos that i finally have access to again. I wonder if this shot is a bit dark. It was a gloomy day so it was pretty dark, i had no tripod and i had just started photographing when taken this...with my very first camera.

Crop & levels in PS

Hi Zandra,
I think your original capture is possibly a little underexposed as the right side of the levels curve falls short of the end of the scale.
So I used Photoshop to do the following:

1) Adjusted overall levels curve by shifting the right slider.
2) Selected foreground with polygonal lasso tool and 20 pixel feather, then increased brightness slightly.
3) Adjusted colour balance in highlights from cyan towards red.
4) Cropped a bit of empty sky at the top as it felt slightly top-heavy, thus placing the horizon about 2/3 up.

Just my suggestions and hope you don't mind :o)
