Cascade (8)

The bottom of the Pissevache Cascade in Vernayaz, near Martigny. The Pissevache discharges the water of the Salanfe River, a tributary of the Rhône.

The haze in front of the rocks at the bottom right is actually a partial rainbow caused by the sunlight hitting the mist coming off of the cascade.

"Pissevache" literally means "pissing cow." Funny how it always seems to come back to cows in this country. ; )

Have a great weekend, all -
