This shot, taken from the Memorial Drive outlook overlooking downtown Calgary and the Bow River early one morning last Fall (at the maximum focal length of the Nikon VR lens), appears to show the Rocky Mountains much closer to the city than their real distance, perhaps some 90-100kms away.
