Through her shawl (14)

While hanging around in Hannuman Ghat on Lake Pichola in Udaipur, I saw some dhobi wallah (or just "regular" women) cleaning some laundry. Suddenly, I saw this one adjusting her shawl as she had finished her work before going back home.

I don't know if she was a dhobi wallah or not, but my friend couldn't believe that all these women who looked so beautiful in their saris were considered some of the most impure people in the Hindu world as they clean other people's impurities. That's part of the dilemmas of India...

as I said, the original file was very small, but I wanted to illustrate what I meant with my comment:
1. slight levels adjustment to emphasise the blacks;
2. slight curve adjustments to increase contrast and saturation;
3. minor sharpening.
the difference is minor, but at least on my screen the gray/yellow cast is gone and colours are a bit more saturated.
hope you like it.
