While treking up the 1000 steps at the Dandenong Ranges with my camera, I came across this family of Australian Wood Duck(*). As I chase slowly after them trying to get a snap shot, the father(*) was pretty defensive and even snarled at me to protect the ducklings. I told them I wont hurt them but they wont trust me a bit.

The grass was pretty long and so it was difficult to get a low angle shot.

Thanks for viewing and welcome all critiques.

Regards
Alfred

(*) Thanks to John Plumb for the correction and the note is now updated.

Hi Alfred, in this workshop I was looking to "tone down" the colour in the grass a bit. To do this I added a saturation layer and decreased the green by 25, and the yellow by 25. As well I decreased the lightness of the yellow by 15. This was all done by eye, as an approximation of what I thought it might look like. I hope this meets with your approval. I have removed the copy from my terminal.

Regards, John
