Acoma is located west of Albuquerque,New Mexico and is the oldest occupied city in North America. It was built over 2,000 years ago high on a sandstone bluff about 370 ft above the desert floor. I have included a view of the desert in the WS. The original slide was taken on Fuji Sensia 100, scanned and converted to B&W. The table you see is full of pottery but there was no one about at this time of day hence the title. The Acoma indians still live here but they have realized the potential of opening up their "Sky City" (village actually) to tourism. For those not interested in their culture there is always the ubiquitous casino down below.
