Silhouette of Cuckoo Shrike (6) Lyndall
(211) | I heard this Blackfaced Cuckoo Shrike's trilling call as he alighted on the palmtree at dusk. I quickly took 2 shots on 200mm zoom, the second being a better angle as he had moved position slightly on the frond and the silhouette of the bird stood out well against the cloudy sky. Just as well, as a second later he was gone! I enhanced the sky in PhotoShop and cropped the photo to improve the composition.
The Blackfaced Cuckoo Shrike is a native of Australia and is common in open forest and urban areas. |
