![Gold Star Critiquer/Gold Note Writer [C: 1322 W: 1 N: 3152]](http://i1.trekearth.com/misc/g-n-g.gif) (9103) | Sabah Adventure Race or SAC as it's locally called here, is a 3 days multidisciplines adventure race and begining to be The Adventure Race of Sabah with its latest 9th edition.
Usually with a total distance run of around 200km,the race ranges from hot and dry run on wide open rural countryside to abseiling waterfall as seen in the photo.
In the photo, an extreme category runner abseils a section of the Kionsom Waterfall before biathlon up a 4km steep concrete paved road before careening down the otherside of the hill to Kiulu, 30km away.
To shoot this section, you either abseil down the same way with the runner or rope up to the rockledge just below this point. The rocks are very slippery and you need to be on rockclimbing gear. |
