![Gold Star Critiquer/Gold Star Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 574 W: 83 N: 821]](http://i1.trekearth.com/misc/g-g-g.gif) (2950) | After looking at my pictures I realized I didn`t have a single picture of Kempten, the next biggest city to where I live, in my gallery. Of course I had to change that. When I was walking through the streets of the city at night my actual plan was to take some pictures of the Lorenzkirche, the biggest and most impressive church here in our city, but for some reason it wasn`t illuminated. So I went to this place where you have a nice view of the St.Mang Kirche, another church here in Kempten. The river you can see in the foreground is called "Iller", the biggest river which runs through the city. It was kind of a tricky shot because, as you know, night shots aren`t that easy to take.
For those who are interested: Kempten is considered the oldest city in all of Germany (we still have a struggle with Trier who also think they have the oldest city but I think Kempten is older), the Romans build this city as their first city when they came to Germany and there are a lot of reliques from that time. There is an exibition here in Kempten where you can see some of the anchient things that they left here. So I hope you like it! |
