4 More Months of Snow (38)

Today posting a view from up Mt Baker Washington. The view is looking towards the Bagley trail and up behind the ridge on the left is Herman Saddle. There is no possible way you can trek up in this snow without snow shoes or skis. I know that to be true because I tried it myself to take this photo from the edge of the parking lot. Up to my waist in snow quickly sinking as I tried to dig myself out without ruining my camera gear over my neck.
The snow up here will last for another 4 months into June and July. Then in the last part of July, in August and September the trails open up to allow the hikers into this alpine terrain.
But for now the snow will keep falling and as you can see in the workshop posted the covering of snow on the Firs Cabin. A wonderful place to enjoy snow 9 months of the year. I named Mt Baker in the city category which is incorrect. The town of Bellingham is within an hours drive. Enjoy the snow while it lasts.

As you can see from the Firs Cabin it really snows up here. When you don't feel like going to work just call up your boss and tell him you are snowed in....and then send him this photo so he will believe you!! Enjoy!
