This was taken in almost the same spot, and just a few minutes before I took this one near Sharow, not far from Ripon in North Yorkshire. However this shot was taken facing in the opposite direction and you can see just how different the sky was. Post processing has been limited to just a slight increase of brightness as the shot was a bit dark looking into the dark clouds to the south. The strange light on the trees is just how it was.

1700 meters or 1700 Kms away?

Who would tell that North Yorkshire could resemble Alentejo? :-)

This was shot in Western Portugal, very close to the place where river Tejo/Tagus enters Portugal, half way between Portalegre and Castelo Branco.

I regret that there aren't any trees on the horizon, because if there were, they would also reminisce the ones seen on the main post (take a look of this post).
