I spent a couple of days at the NZ Waterski National Championships. Held on Lake Karapiro this year and covering the disciplines of Slalom, Jump and Tricks.
This shot was taken around the corner from the action and the contrast is remarkable. Lake Karapiro is one of many lakes formed on the Waikato River for hydroelectric power generation.
